Dara Van Dusen
New York, Oslo | b. 1986 | The Blind Man
Dara is a writer/director from New York City. She is a graduate of the Polish National Film School in Lodz, Poland and has written and directed numerous short films, including Significant Others, which was accepted as part of the Cannes Official Selection, and The Blind Man based on the short story by Bertolt Brecht. She is the writer/director of the feature films A PRAYER FOR THE DYING and LIFE IN MY HANDS (Med Livet I Hendene). Both projects have received development support from the Norwegian Film Institute and are set to go into production in 2020.

Director’s Note: Based on the short story by Bertolt Brecht, THE BLIND MAN follows an old MAN who suddenly loses his sight. Taken in and cared for by his two brothers, he embraces the unfairness of his new reality and decides to spread his anger and suffering.
